The Dash 8-400 is a high-capacity turboprop regional aircraft developed by De Havilland Canada, designed to excel in both passenger transport and special mission roles.

Brief History

Launched following the success of the Dash 8-100, -200, and -300 series, the Dash 8-400 debuted with improved engines, a modernized cockpit, and enhanced aerodynamics. Since its entry into service, the Dash 8-400 has maintained its market position through continuous improvements to meet evolving demands, particularly in operational and passenger comfort features.

The Hawker 900XP keeps many of the distinguishing features of the Hawker 850XP such as the winglets, Proline 21 avionics and cabin design. It’s upgraded engines allow it to climb more efficiently and give it an increased range. The inspection interval for the Hawker 900XP’s engines is 6,000 cycles, a marked improvement over the 4,660 cycle inspection interval of the engines on the Hawker 850XP.

Brief History

The Hawker 900XP, the newest version of the Hawker 800/800XP mid-sized business jet, received type certification in August 2007. In creating the Hawker 900XP, the Hawker series had been stretched, its wings had been modified, and it was now powered by very advanced, efficient turbofan engines. The Production ended in 2013, 193 airplanes where build.

The Challenger 650 is the updated version of the Challenger 605. The CL-600 platform has evolved over the years with the Challenger 650 being the latest model. Ten years later (2005), the Challenger 605 was introduced with an avionics and structural upgrade from the 604 designs. Gulfstream Aerospace officially unveiled the G700 at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas in 2019. The G700 was announced as the company’s new flagship aircraft, designed to push the boundaries of speed, range, and cabin comfort in the business jet market.

As of August 2024, 12% of the Gulfstream G700 aircraft were purchased new by their current owners with 87% still yet to deliver. None of the aircraft are currently for sale or under any exclusive brokerage agreement.

The production of G700 started in 2019. In 2020 the G700 took its maiden flight from Gulfstream’s headquarters in Savannah, Georgia. The Global 5000 is a slightly smaller and faster derivative of the Global Express, which was the second ultra long-range large-cabin business jet produced and started delivering to customers in 1997. The Global 5000 made its maiden flight in March 2003 with FAA and JAA type certification awarded in October 2004. In 2008 Bombardier announced an increased certified gross weight, which permitted increased fuel load and an increased projected maximum range.

The Learjet 40XR is an upgraded version of the Learjet 40 with improvements in hot-and-high performance, climb rates and faster long range cruise speeds resulting in a range of more than 240 nm. The increases are due to the upgraded Honeywell “BR” engines from the “AR” used on the Learjet 40.

Brief History

Derived from the Lear 45, the Learjet 40 and 40XR are 24.5 inches shorter and have a maximum take-off weight that is 150 lbs. lighter. These two characteristics increase performance and lower operational costs. The Lear 40 aircraft received FAA certification in July 2003, as an amendment to the Type Certification of the Lear 45 and ended production in 2009. The Learjet 40XR went into operation in 2005 and ended production in 2012.

The Cessna Citation Sovereign+ is the successor to the Citation Sovereign model. The Sovereign+ features upgraded engines, which provide a longer range, and winglets as a standard offering versus an option on the original Sovereign. The Sovereign+ also has improved take-off and landing capability and the addition of the Garmin G5000 avionics. The range is the strongest feature of both the Sovereign and Sovereign+ with Coast-to-Coast capabilities and the ability to take-off and land at short distances thanks to a moderately swept high-aspect ratio wing.

The production of the Citation Sovereign ended in 2013 and was replaced by the improved Sovereign+. The Sovereign+ was initially announced at the October 2012 NBAA, it first flew in April 2013 and was certified in December 2013. A total of 100 Sovereign+ business jets have been built in the year range 2013 – 2021.

The Falcon 7X is a fly-by-wire ultra-long range business jet which flies 5,466 nm further and faster than any of its Falcon predecessors. It features an innovative wing design including winglets, which makes the longer range possible.
